Osso Bucco

I had heard about this restaurant before, rumours and such amongst nurses that I know, but I finally found out where it was.... in an industrial complex in Brampton. However, it is gorgeous food! Had an amazing pasta pescatore, rich with seafood, and the most amazing tomato basil sauce I've had in a long time... brava!

Tacos Los something

This is a small hole-in-the-wall that a friend brought us to in the middle of Koreatown, and dumbass that I am, I forgot to pay attention to where it was. However, they have a small, but succint, menu: pupusas, tamales, burritos, etc... a friend was disappointed, yet again, to find there were no tamales. However, I had a chicken burrito, and I was very much assured to see small Hispanic elderly ladies making my food, so it was quite tasty!

Pho Mi Thuan Lok

This is a little Vietnamese restaurant in Parkdale, on Queen St, right beside an Ethiopian grocery store. There was lots of food to choose from, but I picked 'lemongrass chicken', which we couldn't figure out what the difference between that and, elsewhere on the menu, a "chicken with lemongrass". At any rate, it was tasty and spicy, so there we go...

Hernando's Hideaway

This is one of the restaurants that you always pass by, and you know you should check it out at least once, so we did. Um, I think I might take a pass from now on. Super sugary margaritas, and a chili, though had a good flavour of chipotle in it, was quite watery, and more like a thick soup or stew than anything chili-like.... Well, at least I can say I was there...

Adega

This is a restaurant on that little strip on Elm, where I had a lovely meal of capon and vegetables (with hors d'oeuvres of chorizo and carmelized onions - yum!), washed down with some Sauvignon blanc... though the company and meals were great, the white chocolate creme brulee left much to be desired...

Butler's Pantry

This is actually my favorite place to eat in all of Toronto, as far as I can tell. Not necessarily because of the ambience, the food, the service or the price. It just is. Though I rarely get here; maybe once every year or two? And I tend to order the same thing: their fish cakes and their chicken bastilla pie. Yum yum yum!
