Il Fornello

I am so very very pleased about this meal: I am going to have to blog about it on the main blog. However, this chain has decided to help promote local produce and eating locally. Managed to have a sweet potato soup, a rib eye steak, asparagus, and strawberry shortcake, all entirely made of ingredients from Ontario. And yes, I did, in fact, eat cow for dinner, mainly because I know the farmer that made the cow, and they have an impeccable reputation. It was very good, though I must admit, I am still not entirely sure why there is this drive for meat....
However, it was an incredible and wonderful meal. It would have been nice to round it out with a Niagara Baco Noir or something, but, ironically, their wine list didn't allow individual glasses of Ontario wine... Oh well...
